This wonderful storybook app combines Edward Lear’s timeless children’s poem with colorful illustrations and animation to make a fun interactive experience for kids of all ages.STORYFirst published in 1877, “The Courtship of the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bò” is one of Edward Lear’s most beautiful pieces of verse.
On the coast of Coromandel, India, the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bò is a hermit who lives in the woods.
One day he comes across the beautiful Lady Jingly Jones and surprises her with a marriage proposal.
Unfortunately for him, Lady Jingly reveals that she is already married!
Although her husband is far away in England, Jingly rejects Bò’s offer and sadly asks him to leave her alone.
The Yonghy-Bonghy-Bò runs away, finds a gigantic turtle on the beach and rides far across the sea on the turtle’s back!
